According to police, McGoff was last seen on Sunday, the day before the welfare check.
Smith said she’s just hoping for justice for this family and for the man known for his big smile, and even bigger heart.
“Major loss,” she added. “I hope that his family and his close friends find some comfort knowing that he will be missed and he touched a lot of, a lot of lives.”
McGoff’s family released this statement:
“Thank you for recognizing Leslie’s accomplishments and his good work in the community. He has touched many lives in his 30 years of nursing. He will be greatly missed.”
